My Health Journey: Part 1

I used to be an incredibly introverted person. At times, I still am, but have learned over time how to put myself out there and control what people see about me. This is probably why I have rewritten this post over and over for the past two weeks. My health journey is something I talk about often on my Instagram but not one that I truly go into detail about (due to the reason I just said) but it feels like it is finally time. First: diet.

Growing up, I was fortunate to have a mom that cooked family dinner every night and stocked the house with fresh organic food. However, when I went to college, things changed. The freshman 15 became the freshman 30 and my whole relationship with food was out of wack. Nothing made sense and I lost all semblance of self-esteem that I had which triggered major anxiety (to be talked about next time) that resulted in binge eating. After constant fad dieting, nothing stuck. Now, here we are almost 7 years later, and I still struggle with setting myself on a path for a healthy lifestyle. However, over the past few months, I have found a way of eating that is truly life-changing so this is going to my first of a few posts regarding my journey to a healthier Hailey.


Let me start by saying I am still new to this lifestyle change and may not have all the answers so if you want to learn more you can go to their website.

So, for those who haven't heard of it, F-Factor sets you up for life by using a scientifically proven approach to weight-loss and optimal health that is based on fiber-rich nutrition. The whole premise of the program focuses on combining lean proteins with high-fiber carbohydrates and by doing so, you are consuming less in calories but are feeling full throughout the day. So simple, yet something I NEVER KNEW!

The nutritionist I work with is Amanda and not only did she teach me the "F-Factor Way" but she also acts as a guide, support system, and someone to just hold me accountable. For someone like me who is only use to a fad diet, this is key.
